With NVIDIA open source drivers, Hyprland maturity, and Firefox/Electron running natively on Wayland, I think we can finally say Wayland is daily-driver ready in 2026.
What is still holding you back from switching?

Screen sharing in Teams/Zoom still does not work properly under Wayland. That alone keeps me on Xorg for my work machine.
xdg-desktop-portal fixed most screen sharing issues months ago. Works fine in Firefox-based screen sharing. Teams is the problem, not Wayland.
Gaming on Wayland with NVIDIA is still not as smooth as Xorg. VRR works but I get occasional stutters that do not happen on X11.
Switched to Wayland 6 months ago on AMD. Zero issues. Fractional scaling actually works properly unlike the blurry mess on Xorg.
I will switch when every Electron app stops defaulting to XWayland. Half my apps are still blurry because devs have not updated their flags.
