Beginner guide to self-hosting with Docker Compose

Wrote up a step-by-step tutorial on self-hosting common services using Docker Compose. Covers Nextcloud, Vaultwarden, Jellyfin, and reverse proxy with Caddy.

Aimed at people who have never touched a server before. Feedback welcome.

This is exactly what I needed. Set up Nextcloud and Vaultwarden on my old ThinkPad in an afternoon following your guide. Caddy makes reverse proxy so much simpler than Nginx.

One suggestion - you should add a section about backups. A lot of beginners set up services but forget to automate backups and lose everything.

Great guide but I would recommend adding Watchtower for automatic container updates. Saves a lot of manual maintenance.

Following along right now. Got stuck on the DNS part - how do I point my domain to my home server? Using Cloudflare.
