Chipmaker Analog Devices says attackers broke into its systems in June and stole files. The company has not said what kind of data was taken, and it is not aware of the files being leaked or misused so far.

Analog Devices disclosed the June 23 intrusion in a Wednesday SEC filing. The company has not detailed what data was exfiltrated. Separately, on July 26, ADI said it learned of a distinct, unrelated claim from a new extortion group called ExfilSquad, which said it stole 570,000 records from ADI.
ExfilSquad steals data rather than deploying file-encrypting ransomware, and researchers at SOCRadar say some of its claims look exaggerated or fabricated. Analog Devices no longer appears on ExfilSquad's leak site as of this writing, and the company says it is still assessing that separate claim.
